Electricity
The City of Mesa provides electric utility service to approximately 16,000 residential and commercial customers located within approximately 5.5 sq. miles centered about and including Mesa's downtown area. 20% of the power distributed by the City comes from renewable sources. Salt River Project (SRP) provides the electricity for the remaining 119.7 sq. miles of the City.

Natural Gas

The City of Mesa provides natural gas services to more than 54,000 homes and businesses within the City service area of approximately 90 sq. miles located in the City limits; and the Magma service area, a 236 sq. mile certificated system located southeast of the City in Pinal County, Arizona. Southwest Gas provides natural gas service to the remaining 35.2 sq. miles of the City.

Water/Sewer
Mesa relies on several sources for its water supply: Salt River and Verde River water from Salt River Project; Colorado River water from the Central Arizona Project; groundwater from 38 City wells.  Mesa’s wastewater is collected through many miles of sewer lines, and treated at one of three water reclamation plants. Reclaimed water is then used on golf courses, as crop irrigation, recharged back into the ground, or discharged to natural waterways.
