Arizona Department of Economic Security-
Employment placement services (veterans receive priority of
service), including Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program
specialists (DVOPs) & Local Veterans’ Employment
Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services-
Enriches and honors Arizona’s veterans and their families
through education, advocacy and service as well as provides
information and assistance with federal and state benefits
to veterans and their dependents.
Arizona Disabled American Veterans-
Provides volunteer opportunities, job related opportunities,
and other necessary resources to disabled veterans in the
greater Phoenix area.

Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) - Gilbert Location
The clinic is based on a primary care model of
health care that has physicians, physician's assistants and
nurse practitioners who provide care. The clinic has several
medical and psychiatric specialties available on site: for
example, there is psychiatry, psychology, dermatology,
gastroenterology and rheumatology. The clinic also has its
own pharmacy, laboratory, social workers and dietitian.
Additionally, this is a brand-new facility which opened on
April 2, 2014 and has over 60,000 sq.ft. of clinic space.

Serves as a comprehensive one-stop shop for potential and
current MCC Veteran students and military family members by
offering assistance through every step of the higher

nation-wide to active military, as well as veterans
transitioning within a 6 month discharge period.
National Veterans Crisis Line- Available

Tax Assistance – The Mesa United Way offers free income
tax preparation assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax
Assistance (VITA) program.
Tax Assistance (Free Software) – The Mesa United Way’s VITA
program also offers free software for residents to file their
taxes for free.
Tax Assistance (Veteran “Back Taxes”) – Additionally, the
Mesa United Way VITA program is able to assist Veterans with
prior year tax return filing.
Veterans Benefits Administration- Provides
benefits to eligible veterans and dependents, including
compensation & pension, home loans, vocational
rehabilitation & employment, education, and insurance.
Veterans Health Administration- Provides
health care to eligible veterans.
