Shea Joachim, MBA
|Shea joined the Mesa Economic Development team in 2007. During his tenure, he has
worked his way up from the position of Research Analyst to Project Manager. On a
day-to-day basis, he is actively involved with business attraction and business
retention activities. He also has expertise in business financing, impact
analysis, and tax incentive analysis. In addition, Shea represents the
department on the
Central Mesa Light Rail Extension project and is leading the City’s efforts to
establish a technology business accelerator.
Prior to working for the City of Mesa, Shea spent five years in the financial services industry in California and Arizona. Shea earned an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and has a BS in Economics with a minor in Philosophy from Pomona College.
