|Josh Utterback joined the Economic Development Team as a Specialist in February of 2014. As a Specialist, he will support the team in promoting business growth and expansion throughout the City of Mesa through targeted research strategies and the development of business leads and partnerships.
Prior to joining the Office of Economic Development, Josh worked at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as a financial representative. He then took a position with Salisbury Development as a Development Coordinator. His responsibilities included working with general contractors, architects, attorneys, civil engineers, City and State officials through various stages of the development process. In addition, he assisted with asset and property management of several other properties in their portfolio.
Josh was born and raised in the great State of Arizona. He earned a bachelor’s from Wheaton College (IL) in Business/Economics and Bible Theology. In addition, he holds a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) and an MBA both from Arizona State University. In his spare time Josh loves spending time with his wife (Jessica) and two children (Esther and Austin). His other interests include fly-fishing, hiking, and supporting ASU athletics.
