Project Updates

9/15/14

Fishel has been awarded the contract to replace the existing wastewater main in Broadway Road between Horne and Williams.

Traffic on Broadway Road has been reduced to one lane in each direction between Olive and Miller Street.  Crews are currently excavating and installing 12-inch sewer mainline between Stapley and Williams.  Crews are following by installing laterals to the north and south of the newly installed sewer mainline west of Stapley.  One lane in each direction with left turn prohibitions in various locations.

Traffic Restrictions:

Traffic is currently one lane in each direction with left turns at the intersection only.

Project Schedule

Construction is anticipated to begin end of May 2014 and will be completed by the end of 2014.

Project Details

The existing wastewater main in Broadway Road between Horne and Williams was originally constructed in the 1950's and 1960's.  The sewer main needs to be replaced based on a combination of pipe age and lack of adequate pipe slope.

Project Funding

This project is funded by the voter approved 2006 Wastewater Bonds.
