Ellsworth 16-inch Water Line Connection to County Line Pump
Station No.3 and County Line Reservoir No.2
The City of Mesa has awarded
Crush Construction, LLC as the contractor for this project.
The contractor has completed slurry seal and road striping last
week. The project is now complete.
Construction will begin November 19, 2012 and is scheduled
to last until the April 2013.
This project will install approximately 7,800 feet of 16
inch waterline that will connect the City of Mesa County Line
Pump Station No. 3 and the County Line Reservoir No. 2. In 2009,
The City upgrades the capacity of County Line Pump Station No. 3
by adding a third pump to meet the increasing demand.
Currently, there is an existing 12-inch water line which
connects the pump station to the reservoir fill line. The
additional 16-inch water transmission main is required in
parallel to convey this increased pumping capacity from County
Line Pump Station No.3, to County Line Reservoir No.2. This will
allow for more reliability and redundancy to meet the demands in
the County Line Zone.
The recommended award amount for this project is
$1,600,324.00 based on a lowest bid of $1,454,840.00 plus an
additional $145,484.00 (10% allowance for City requested change
orders). Funding is available in the fiscal year 12/13, Water
Bond Capital program.
