Project Details

The Kellwood Substation currently has one 12.47kV transformer-switchgear installation. This project will install a second transformer-switchgear combination, install additional protective equipment that will bring the substation up to date with current industry standards and replace aging 69kV equipment which is becoming unserviceable, reaching the end of its useful life.  Installation of the second switchgear provides four (4) new 12kV distribution circuits needed to complete the remaining circuit conversions from 4.16kV to 12.47kV.
