Master planning schedule to begin Spring 2015.
Construction document development to begin Summer 2015 and end
Spring 2015. Construction is scheduled to begin Spring
2016 and end Fall 2016.
Currently Monterey Park is 21 acres. This project will expand
the park by 19 additional acres by utilizing the adjacent vacant
property. The park is extremely popular for youth
sports activities, but defined fields and parking are not
currently available. The new park components include integrated parking,
shade structures, open play/park areas, lighted baseball fields
and lighted soccer fields into an integrated community facility.
The lighted fields are placed furthest from the surrounding
neighborhoods and closest to the existing commercial development.
Concession/restroom facilities are also a proposed park
feature. The master plan will need to be reassessed to fit the
