Southeast Mesa Bike and Pedestrian Path:
Project Number CP0198
A public meeting was conducted Spring 2014. Comments from
this meeting will be implemented to the project design.
The City of Mesa are in the conceptual stages of design.
This project will provide a route for pedestrians, bicyclists
and residents in neighborhoods near the Mesa Gateway Shared-Use
Pathway to connect with other residential areas, businesses, and
provide recreational and exercise activities.
The planning efforts for the Mesa Gateway Shared-Use Pathway
will include determining the best and most economical way
possible to connect to the existing Town of Gilbert Santan
Freeway Trail at Power Road, the planned potential airport
expansions at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway, the new DMB Eastmark
Development, and all existing and future residential and
commercial developments along the corridor. In addition, the
project will provide connectivity between the City's existing
and planned sidewalks, shared-use pathways, bike lanes, and
routes located throughout the area.
This project design is being funded through the 2012 Park Bond Program.
