The City of Mesa has awarded this project to
AJP Electric.
The anticipated start date for this project is August 6, 2012.
Construction on this project is scheduled to begin in August 2012 and is
estimated to be completed in September 2012.
The Sycamore Transit Center and
Park-and-Ride has been in operation since 2008.
Valley Metro Rail, Inc. (METRO) operates the park-and-ride and
the City of Mesa operates the transit center. The City of Mesa
Transit Services Department, in conjunction with the Police
Department and METRO, has identified improvements within the
transit center and park-and-ride facility needed to provide
enhanced security, promote the proper use of established
pedestrian ramps, and improve site appearance by replacing
select trees that are in poor health.
The recommended total award of this project is
$116,242.50, which consists of a low bid of $105,675.00, plus an
additional $10,567.50 (10% allowance for change orders). This
project is funded by an FTA Grant.
