environmentally-sound community. We promote sustainable development, the
use of renewable resources and oversee that City operations comply with

Hazardous Waste Event
The next HHW collection event is
October 19.
Acceptable items include oil, pesticides, paints,
propane tanks, fluorescent
bulbs, prescription drugs, e-waste like televisions and
computers, tires and appliances.
Green Mesa and Living Green Events
Learn about sustainability programs and earth friendly advice for
your home & garden. Topics include green
buildings, energy efficiency, water-wise gardening and more.
Grass-to-Xeriscape Rebate Program
Take out your grass and replace it with a
water-wise landscape and you will save water and receive a $500
rebate.
West Nile Virus
Arizona reported its first confirmation of the
West Nile Virus, a mosquito-borne virus, in 2003. Please

The Federal Environmental Compliance Fee was established to
partially fund compliance programs that improve air quality,
reduce stormwater pollution and ensure compliance with other
