National EMS Award
Members of the Congressional Fire Services
Institute (CFSI) and the MedicAlert
Foundation have presented Mesa Fire and
Medical Department with the 2nd Annual National Excellence in Fire Service-Based
EMS Award.
"Mesa Fire and Medical Department for the
introduction of Transitional Response
Vehicles (TRVs) and innovative methods to
manage significant increases in call volume
for emergency medical services and reduce
overcrowding in emergency departments."

lives in the communities they serve,†said
Andrew B. Wigglesworth, President and Chief
Executive Officer of MedicAlert Foundation.

these best practices as a resource to help
other first responder programs to improve
