Neighborhood Services Department
The
Neighborhood
Stabilization Program (NSP)
provides grants
to purchase foreclosed or abandoned homes and to
rehabilitate, resell, or redevelop these homes in
order to stabilize neighborhoods and stem the
decline of house values of neighboring homes.
Mesa Takes Pride in ALL Its Neighborhoods
The Neighborhood Services Department is focused on
keeping Mesa's neighborhoods healthy, attractive and
positive places in which to live, work and invest.
Department staff work with citizen groups,
non-profit agencies, the Downtown Development,
Historic Preservation Committee and Housing and
Human Services Advisory Board, City departments and
the City Council in serving Mesa citizens.
Neighborhood Services, overseen by Department
Manager, Ray Villa, is
comprised of
Animal Control,
Housing & Revitalization
which includes the Office of Human
Services, Neighborhood Outreach,
and the Office of Diversity.
Housing & Revitalization
manages programs that benefit low-income residents
and their neighborhoods & administers the Rental
Assistance, Housing Rehabilitation and Escobedo
Housing programs.
Office of
Neighborhood Outreach identifies resources
for Mesa residents to improve their neighborhoods.
Office of
Diversity is works to foster an awareness,
understanding and respect for the differences that
make us each unique human beings.
