Swimming Lessons Save Lives
Making WavesThe "Making Waves" scholarship program provides FREE learn-to-swim lessons and FREE competitive team membership to Mesa residents in need, all made possible by donations from the community.

MISSION
The mission of the Making Waves program is to play a key role in the reduction of child drowning incidents in Mesa through water safety education and teaching disadvantaged children how to swim.

TO REGISTER:
Participants may only register for one session at a time and all registration is done on-site the Saturday before a session begins.  When registering, parents need to provide proof that they are Mesa residents and their child is on the Free (not reduced) Lunch Program, or they receive Federal Cash Assistance.  Scholarships are limited, and are on a first come first serve basis.  To provide scholarships to as many people as possible a cap has been placed on the number of scholarships one family may receive.
