S.A.F.E. Senior Program
S.A.F.E. stands for Safety, Abuse, and Fraud Education. The purpose of the
program is to educate seniors in Mesa about home and personal safety, elder
abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and con games and fraud schemes. We
offer presentations on any one of these topics to community organizations,
senior residents or any other group who is interested. Crime prevention
information is also available on audio cassettes for visually impaired
seniors.
We offer training for law enforcement personnel on elder
abuse.
The Fraud Alert Hotline (480-644-2345) is part of this
program and is set up to inform seniors about current fraud
schemes that may affect them.
We are also active in training financial institution
personnel on recognizing the signs of financial exploitation of
their senior customers.
