Mayor's Youth Summer of Service

Attention youth!  Are you looking for a way to get involved in your community this summer?  If so, the Mayor's Office has a great opportunity just for you!

Join us for the 5th annual Mayor’s Youth Summer of Service (MYSOS).  MYSOS, winner of the 2010 Youth Service America Harris Wofford Award, is a series of service-learning projects held throughout the month of June that are especially designed for students entering grades 9-12.

Our goal is to introduce teens to the variety of service opportunities available within their community.  We also encourage them to continue their commitment to community service throughout the year by volunteering their time to the organizations and causes they support.

See a presentation made by student leaders in the 2013 Mayor's Youth Summer of Service.
