The Housing and Community Development Advisory Board is composed of eleven (11) members who are residents of Mesa and who volunteer their services, including those representing: financial institutions, nonprofit providers, manufactured housing, special needs providers, multi-family housing development providers, single-family housing development providers, and five (5) representatives from the community
The Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, appoints the members of the Board. Board members are appointed for 3-year terms and cannot serve more than two complete consecutive terms. Previous board members may be re-appointed after a lapse of three years from end of previous term.
The purpose and duties of the Housing and Community Development Advisory Board are to advise the Mesa City Council on housing, community development, social services priorities, funding, and planning across the community.
