The Mesa City Council adopted Resolution 12161 calling a Primary Election for Tuesday, July 30, 2024, for the purpose of electing a Mayoral candidate and Councilmember candidates in Districts 1, 2, and 3. The resolution also outlines the deadline for voter registration and establishes the times that polls will be open.

Key Primary Election Dates

• First day to request an early ballot - April 28, 2024
• Voter registration cutoff - July 1, 2024

The Mesa City Council adopted Resolution 12226 calling a General Election for Tuesday, November 5, 2024. At the General Election, the qualified electors of the City shall vote on four questions (as outlined under General Election notices below), and the possibility of a Mayor/Council run-off, if necessary. The resolution also outlines the deadline for voter registration and establishes the times that polls will be open.
