Side streets within the closure area may also be closed at Claiborne Avenue, with alternate access provided. Detour signage is in place to direct travelers around the closure.
  • Scheduled to take place April 16 - May 3, this work will move further north, and Claiborne Avenue will be CLOSED between Merrill Ave and Santa Rosa Dr. Millbrae Lane will be closed on either side of Claiborne Avenue during this work with detour signage in place to direct travelers around the closure.

Work is currently taking across the south entryway into Solana, with that entryway closed and residents directed to use the north entryway from April 10 - 15. Work will then continue south approaching Baseline Road.
  • Once in Baseline Road, this work will take place on the north side of Baseline Road for a short distance before crossing Baseline Road by boring (tunneling) under the roadway.

Greenfield Road - Between Southern Avenue & Broadway Road

(PIPELINE INSTALLATION COMPLETE - FINAL PAVING)

  • An asphalt mill (removal) and overlay of Greenfield Road, between Southern Avenue and Broadway Road, is currently taking place. This work is taking place one-half the roadway at a time to maintain traffic on Greenfield Road, with lane and turn restrictions in place, as needed.
  • Work is currently taking place on the west side of Greenfield Road, between Southern Avenue and Broadway Road. Left turns are being maintained at the Southern Avenue intersection. As the milling, grading and paving processes cross or impact driveways or side streets, access may be restricted; however, the contractor will ensure alternate access is available or provide detour signage. Work is taking place during daytime hours with traffic control in place 24/7 to protect the work zone.
  • Scheduled to begin April 16, traffic will be shifted to the west side of Greenfield Road onto the newly placed asphalt base course (bottom layer) of asphalt for work to take place on the east side of Greenfield Road.
  • Work on the east side is expected to take 4-5 weeks to complete and will then move to the middle of Greenfield Road near the Southern Avenue intersection for 1-2 weeks. Left turns will be restricted at the Southern Avenue intersection for work in the middle of Greenfield Road.
  • Following this work, crews will need to apply a final course (top layer) of asphalt from Southern to Broadway, followed by utility adjustments and striping to complete work in this area.
