Social Services
The Social Services program is an internal fire department referral program. The program provides direct customer service to both the community and field crews. The program works from direct patient referrals from emergency crews. Typically, patients who are referred to the program are residents in the community that the field crews have seen frequently or noticed a specific social need. The Social Services program receives these referrals electronically and visits with the patient in their home. The goal of the visit is to understand what barriers or needs the patient may have and to provide community resources or encourage a healthy lifestyle choices.
