Damage Prevention & Traffic Safety Training

This online training program is designed for any person performing excavation, boring, blasting, tunneling, backfilling, and/or temporary traffic control activities in any City of Mesa utility service areas.

This class is recommended for construction operators (anyone planning to dig), foremen and/or field superintendents, subcontractors, and project managers. Topics include:

  • Overview of City of Mesa Utility infrastructure
  • Mesa requirements
  • The Arizona Underground Facilities Law
  • How to dig safely when working around underground utilities
  • Reporting utility damages
  • Basic traffic control operations

For those taking as part of the Capital Improvement Project contractual agreement, this class will fulfill the requirement and is good for 12 months, which includes any future projects with Mesa during that period.
