Water Operators help manage the complex daily operations of Mesa's potable drinking water treatment plants to provide safe and reliable drinking water to the community. They maintain equipment and monitor processes as water moves through the treatment and distribution cycles.

Do you have internships available?
Yes. In partnership with local community colleges, at various times throughout the year there are openings for the Water Treatment/Reclamation Operator, Maintenance Specialist, and Water Supply Maintenance Specialist Intern. This is a paid, non-benefited training position in the operation and maintenance area of either Water or Wastewater Treatment.
