Christmas Tree Recycling

Christmas Tree Recycling: December 26th - January 20th

Program Guidelines:

  • Recycling service is available only for live, non-artificial Christmas trees.
  • Artificial trees, trees flocked with artificial snow, wreathes and trees from commercial vendors are strictly prohibited.
  • Self-service drop-off locations are available 24 hours per day from 12/26/2024 to 1/20/2025.
  • All lights, ornaments, tree stands and nails must removed.
  • Please do not leave trees outside of the fenced enclosures.

Additional ways to dispose of a live Christmas tree

Green Yard Waste Barrel

Residents with a Green Yard Waste Barrel may place no trees inside their green barrel. To ensure uninterrupted service, the tree must fit completely inside the container with the lid properly closed.

Curbside Bulk Pick-up

Curbside pickup of your Christmas tree is available for a nominal fee. Visit Bulk Pick-up information page or call 480-644-6789 for details and scheduling.

Potted Tree Donation

We accept the donation of live potted Christmas trees, five feet or taller, for planting in Mesa parks. Residents may drop them off at the following locations:

Please notify front desk staff when dropping off live potted trees. Fresh cut trees are not accepted at these sites.
