The East Valley Fire Cadet Program (EVFC) is designed for youth between the ages of 15-18 interested in learning about careers in public safety and developing their leadership and teamwork skills. It is a fun and exciting opportunity for youth to participate in an educational program that is challenging yet, rewarding! The EVFC Program is supported by Mesa Fire & Medical Department and it's regional partners; Gilbert Fire & Rescue, Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department, and Superstition Fire & Medical.
Cadets learn about the fire and medical service, and in turn, volunteer time back to their communities.
Cadets also participate in community service events including public education activities and City sponsored events. Participation in these extra activities is not required, however, members are highly encouraged to participate.
