Quote by Tom Killebrew from the British Royal Air Force in American Skies:
"The true significance of the program is represented by the close ties of friendship which developed between the young British students and Americans of all walks of life, friendships which continued during the war and remained long after the end of the war. On the international level, the British Flying Training Schools program was one of the greatest cooperative ventures ever undertaken between nations. Aircrew training, along with other cooperative ventures such as lend-lease, cemented the alliance between Great Britain and the United States that transcended national interest and continued after the war, throughout the cold war, and exists to this day."
