The Falcon Field Airport project to mill/overlay and reconstruct the Higley Ramp on the east side of Taxiway Bravo will commence on Tuesday, January 11. The project is funded with a $3.3 million grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Construction will typically take place 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Construction duration will be approximately 90 days, weather permitting.
Airport users are asked to please be aware of construction activity at all times.
• Workers and equipment will be accessing the site from the gate at the eastern end of the Falcon Drive cul-de-sac.
• Flaggers and barricades will help ensure the safety of pilots, aircraft and vehicles at critical locations, particularly along the eastern edge of Taxiway Bravo as well as anywhere heavy equipment and/or personnel will be operating.
• Sweepers will ensure that Taxiway Bravo is kept clear of debris.
• City of Mesa staff will be on site to ensure that safety procedures are followed during construction.
