Public Safety Fiber
Improve the infrastructure that provides voice and data services to fire stations and other City Public Safety facilities over the City’s point-to-point wireless network. The installation of this fiber-optic cable would supplement the point-to-point wireless network to improve reliability and increase bandwidth for applications such as Fire Station Alerting, telephones, video conferences, City business applications (such as timekeeping), and the TOPAZ voice radio network. This is the second phase to complete the three rings design to better serve the City’s needs.
